Profile

Mr. Benjamin Edu-Mensah is a resourceful, self-motivated and open-minded person, with organisational and administrative abilities and very good human relation. He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Administration in Higher Education from the University of Cape Coast and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Social Sciences, with a specialisation in Economics and Sociology, from the same University. Concurrently, he obtained a Diploma in Education.

He began his administrative career at the University in April, 1998 as a Senior Administrative Assistant and by dint of hard work, he has risen through the ranks to Deputy Registrar. He has served as Head of General Administration, Admissions and Records Unit, Academic Affairs, Industrial Liaison Unit, and Acting Director of Public Affairs.


Mr. Edu-Mensah has extensive experience in the committee system of administration, having served in various capacities across numerous statutory and ad-hoc committees of the University. Some committees he has worked on include an Adhoc Committee on Academic Auditing, Examinations Board, Admissions Board, Joint Admissions Board, University Academic Board, Executive Committee of Academic Board, Admissions Drive Team, Development Committee, Statutes Review Committee, Staff Development Committee, Finance Committee and other policy, academic, disciplinary, investigative, and rebranding committees.

He is an affiliate member of the Institute of Public Relations and a member of the Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana, TUSAAG.

Mr. Edu-Mensah has contributed to the promotion of knowledge through publications in academic journals and participated in conferences and workshops.
