Michael Magnus Bentil is a well-trained and self-motivated staff with great organizational and administrative abilities, creative, adaptable, versatile and tactful with excellent human relations and proven leadership capabilities. He is a highly trained person with good academic background and sound managerial abilities.He holds an M.Phil. (Economics) degree from the University of Cape Coast, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from GIMPA, a Bachelor of Arts ( Economics) degree from University of Cape Coast and a Diploma in Education from the same University.
Aside his current role as the Directorate of Human Resource at the University, he has served as the Registrar of the University, performing supervisory roles over all departments, sections and units under the Registry and general administrative functions of the University and served as secretary to the University Council, Academic Board and other boards and committees prescribed by the Statutes of the University.
Mr. Bentil has also worked as the Director of Legal, Consular and General Services, in charge of legal matters, transport, campus security and the University Basic School. He has also had the opportunity to work in other units and sections of the University, making positive impacts on the job.
He has served on committees such as the University Appointments and Promotions Board, Postgraduate Scholarship and Staff Development Committee, Matriculation and Congregation Planning Committees, and Statutes Review Committee
His services outside the University include Secretary to the Search Committee for the Appointment of Vice-Chancellor (May, 2025) at Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University, Wa, and an External Assessor for consideration of applications for promotion of staff to the rank of Deputy Registrar, Senior Assistant Registrar and Junior Assistant Registrar at Accra, Takoradi and Koforidua Technical Universities. He was a Co-opted Member of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly and a Course Facilitator of the Institute of Distance Learning (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology) Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration, Cape Coast Branch.
He has attended several workshops and conferences and published two articles in reputable academic journals
