Profile

Surv. Prof. Emmanuel Bamfo-Agyei, a seasoned professional, holds a PhD in Engineering Management, a Master of Science in Construction Management, a Bachelor of Science in Building Technology, and a Higher National Diploma in Building Technology. His diverse educational background and extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor and a Professional Member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors, coupled with his role as an Associate Professor at Cape Coast Technical University, make him a trusted authority in the field. He is the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Research at Cape Coast Technical University. He is also a visiting Professor at Walter Sisulu University, South Africa, GIMPA, and the University of Cape Coast, and a research fellow at the University of South Africa, UNISA. He is an external Examiner of postgraduate theses at the University of Johannesburg, Durban University of Technology, South Africa, the University of Zambia, and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He serves as an external assessor for the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission. Surv. Prof. Emmanuel Kwamina Bamfo-Agyei has a rich history of leadership roles. He was the immediate past Vice Dean of the School of Built and Natural Environment and Head of Environmental Management Technology for two years. His tenure as the Head of the Building Technology Department, the Founding Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy, and the Vice Dean of the School of Engineering, Director of Accreditation, Director of TVET, and Coordinator of Foreign programmes at Cape Coast Technical University, spanning over 15 years, is a testament to his ability to guide and mentor. At the Centre of Renewable Energy, he developed a four-year Btech programme in Renewable Energy Technology. He recommended to the university's Academic Board that a Department of Renewable Energy Technology be established to oversee the programme. He was instrumental in recruiting five academic staff members. The department has been given accreditation to run the B.Tech in Renewable Energy Technology. He is a member of the Ghana Science Association and Ghana Journalist Association. He is the editor-in-chief of the African Journal of Applied Research, an indexed Scopus journal, and the Executive Secretary of the African Applied Researchers Association.
